TumorX Chelated Calcium is a water soluble form of Calcium that is a bio-available. Not only is calcium ideal for bone construction, it is also a mineral that is an essential electrolyte. Calcium is the most abundant ion positively-charged, which has two binding sites, and can combine with two different atoms or molecules. Calcium averages 1.5% of the total human body weight, about 1- 1.2 kilos (2.2 pounds).

The structural components of the bones and teeth contain about 99% of calcium. Calcium functions in the mineralization of bone, of which there are two types: the outer hard cortical structure about 75% by weight, and the inner trabecular tissue about 24% by weight, which divides or partly-divides the inner cavity of the bone.

The other 1% of the body's calcium is distributed inside and outside of the cells’ fluids. Intercellular calcium affects the function of the mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum (inner cytoplasm of stomach cells), nucleus; and vesicles - i.e. a closed membrane shell, derived from membranes either by a physiological process of budding, or mechanically by disrupting biological materials with the use of sound wave energy. Extra cellular calcium (outside of cells) is in the blood, lymph, and body fluids.
